According to Mexico’s national achievement test, ENLACE, Paloma Noyola Martínez is the country’s top math student, having scored 921 points. She is also third in Spanish. The 11-year-old is a dedicated student. She studies hard and works with her mother and siblings scavenging the trash dump of Matamoros, a city on the south side of the border from Brownsville, Texas.
