1. Use them as an aphrodisiac. Walnuts, pecans and cashews are all good sources of l-arginine, an amino acid that’s thought to have a role in reducing impotence. Pecans are also high in zinc. If a body does not get enough zinc, it may have difficulty producing testosterone—a key hormone for sexual desire in both men and women. Pecans provide nearly 10 percent of the recommended daily amount for zinc. So, pass on the oysters and reach for a handful of pecans!
