9. Praise & Glory
Rule # 1 for how to motivate your child is to give praise for a job well done, because they deserve it from you more than anyone else.
10. Strategize
Make sure they have a strategy for doing homework. As your child gets older, they’ll have easier subjects and classes that are more challenging for them. Encourage kids to strategize how they approach homework so they do the harder and most important assignments first, leaving the easier stuff for later.
