8. Designate
Have a designated time and location for homework. Studies show that kids do better with their homework when it’s done consistently at the same time in the same place. They don’t necessarily need a fancy desk and special clock, though feel free to clear the kitchen table and make homework time while you’re cooking dinner so you’re free to lend a hand, if needed (and they’re free to help you out when they’re done).
