If you have never visited the DR, know that it is a warm, hospitable and family-friendly destination. Some hotels and resorts do have an “adults only” policy if you are looking for a romantic getaway, but otherwise, the DR is a great place to bring the kids. After five days of soaking up summer rain (we did go during hurricane season after all!) and some sun as well, following are my tips to travel to the DR.
