5. Clueless (1995)
Loosely based on Jane Austin’s Emma, Alicia Silverstone is a wealthy, spoiled pretty girl interested only in clothes, shopping and matchmaking for two lonely teachers. Its fun to watch the title character realize there’s more to life than acquiring stuff and wearing the right shoes.
