Claire Comstock Gay (aka Madame Clairevoyant) offers bi-weekly horoscopes that aren’t necessarily for the hardcore believers, since she even admits to not being a true astrologer. But she does have a huge following and her horoscopes have helped many people around the world. In her bio she explains, “it’s comforting and fun to use astrology to understand the terrible parts of your own personality or your mom’s personality or your friends’ personalities.” And as to why her horoscopes have a massive fan following, she argues, “astrology can help readers reframe conceptions about themselves and make sense of personal emotional landscapes. The truth does not come from the horoscope itself, but in the meaning that a reader takes from it.”
