5. Rambutan
Imagine a hairy strawberry and you’ve got the rambutan. We know the word “hairy” doesn’t jive so much with the notion of a pretty fruit, but there’s a sweet fruit behind the hairy, yet soft outer layer. It’s great mixed with a fruit salad or blended into drinks, too.
6. Kiwano Melon
Kiwano melon is shaped a bit like a cucumber and has an orange rind studded with red peaks—the reason for its other name, horn melon. Kiwano melon has lime green flesh with a banana-lime taste.
