Oftentimes, handmade or non-material things (like a gift certificate for 12 backrubs or monthly help with chores) are the most cherished. If you enjoy baking, consider gifting loaves of your beloved banana bread. Know a movie lover? Take him or her to the movies with you to catch a new indie flick instead of grabbing a random picture frame because you’re out of ideas.
8. Consider making thoughtful donations in lieu of gifts.
Instead of feeling pressured to pick out material gifts for loved ones, think about their preferred charitable causes. No one can turn up their nose at a donation in their name to the Humane Society. And you’ll have your gift buying done with a click of the mouse.
