November 17 is National Take a Hike Day. To celebrate, we should all find some great hiking trips to add to our regular adventures. From local sites in your own backyard to great vacation destinations across the United States, there are lots of incredible fall hikes to explore.

Lao Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” If you’ve never hiked before, we promise it’s never too late to take up this healthy, fulfilling hobby. Hiking is a great outdoor activity—it’s great exercise while you get to soak in the nature all around you. 1. Mariposa Grove Trail • Yosemite
Walking amongst the famous Giant Sequoia trees is on our bucket list around here, and some of the best fall hiking there is. A weekend trip to Yosemite sounds like the perfect autumn getaway. We can hear the crunch of the leaves now!
