Recently, my child did something that frustrated me. “Do you want me to explain this to you Boricua or American style?” I asked. “Boricua style!” he excitedly exclaimed. My own laughter made me snap out of my stern mode. “No, not today” I replied. “Aww!!! I’ve never heard you speak Boricua!” he sighed. Still laughing, I replied: “Pray that you never will!”
