1. With age, comes wisdom.
While it may be debatable whether older folks are wiser than younger folks—or even exactly what wisdom is—it does seem that older folks (like your Dad) have a better ability to separate knowledge from the emotional baggage that sometimes accompanies it. So, maybe Dad really is wiser?
