POSITIVE VALUES
As a religious child, I learned that God was watching over me. That meant I had to be good, not only because I was terrified of Mami’s chancleta, but also because I didn’t want to disappoint God. Religion can teach kids discipline and a sense of right and wrong. It also teaches kids the importance of sacrifice, love, family, community, and honoring commitment. Even if you are not religious, create a spiritual environment for your child. That way he and/or she is instilled with positive values.
