2. Stay in Touch
When it comes to safety for kids, always make sure your kids keep in touch with you about where they are going and when. It’s easy to get “lost” (read: go missing) among millions of people in a big city. Don’t be afraid to keep tabs on your family. It’s not because you don’t trust them, it’s because you don’t trust everyone else.
3. Follow Good Lighting
No, we’re not talking about finding the right lighting to take a selfie. We’re talking about the best lighting to keep your kids safe. Encourage them to always stay in well-populated areas. Do not go anywhere near empty alleys. We repeat, do not even THINK about going near that dark, empty street. If you are raising children in the city, you really need to make sure they have their heads around the importance of staying in well-lit areas.
