Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you can’t avoid Kim & Kanye. From magazine covers to celebrity news shows, we know all about their romance, their daughter North, and finally their over-the-top wedding in Italy, preceded of course by a stop in Paris. Ahhhh, Paris—known as the City of Light—is a popular stop for couples. Recall Pulp Fiction, “In Paris, you can buy beer at McDonald’s. Also, you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?…They call it a Royale with cheese.” Which appropriately brings us right back to the subject at hand—Kim Kardashian in Paris with Kanye.
You may not have the budget that Kim Kardashian and Kanye have to take Paris by storm. But you can enjoy this beautiful city for a lot less money and still feel like a superstar. You can still shop, eat in lovely restaurants and leave the tight clothes at home along with the high heels—on cobblestone streets you’re liable to break an ankle with those anyway. And we’re pretty sure the paparazzi will leave you alone.
1. Hit Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is free, but only for invited guests. If you can’t find a friendly photographer willing to share credentials, and your invitation was (ahem) lost in the mail try this: Wear something truly outlandish and stand around the entrance refusing to smile. Everyone will think you’re part of the show.
