9. Talk Often
As with any tough situation that your child may encounter, it’s incredibly important to keep the lines of communication open. Be sure to talk to your kid about making new friends and about what they are experiencing at school so that they know they aren’t going through these changes alone. They’ll know you are always there for them and that they can come to you if they have a bad day or feel left out.
10. Get Involved
One of the best ways that kids can learn to interact with others is by learning to interact with their parents, and they can only do that if you are present and active in their lives. Of course you can’t be with them all day, every day, but when you are around, be truly interested and involved.
