I wouldn’t smoke a cigarette around my kids—I don’t even allow them to be near people who are smoking—so why would I smoke pot around them? Though pot smoke is thought to be far less lethal than cigarette smoke, I’m still subjecting my kids to second-hand smoke, and I’m not okay with that. The other risk with smoking pot in front of kids is that they may be vulnerable to a “contact high”—a small buzz they can pick up just from being around pot smoke. And I am definitely not okay with that.
