8. Hire a tutor.
If math makes you break out in hives (we don’t blame you), it may be best to hire a tutor. When you stress, your kid stresses so don’t be afraid to hire help so your child doesn’t pick up on your anxiety over math.
9. Pay attention to how math is used in everyday life.
Okay, okay, so maybe sometimes we do actually use those math skills we never thought we’d need. Think about things like cooking, telling time, giving an allowance and shopping and talk to your kid about how these activities all involve math.
