The Cowardly Lion’s lesson about courage is the last learned by the four friends and they all benefit from it. As they muster the nerve to approach the Wizard, their courage allows them to see him for what he really is.
16. Stay true to yourself.
The four friends’ resolve is not even shaken by the Emerald City royal treatment. They didn’t fall prey to the Wizard’s distractions, they didn’t let manicures and glamorous parties sway their desire to see the Wizard. They remained true to themselves.
