ST. ELMO, COLORADO
Allegedly named after the popular 19th-century novel, St. Elmo is one of Colorado’s best-preserved ghost towns. Founded during the gold and silver booms, the town was full of hotels, saloons, a post office, and a railway station. Still settled and privately owned, you can come and experience the town as it once was and will probably always be.
