Many asthma patients are diagnosed as children. But just because you do not show signs of asthma as a child does not mean you cannot contract the illness as an adult. In fact, people who develop asthma later in life are known to have Adult Onset Asthma, which can first appear in your 50s, 60s or even your 70s.
