Reports show that the healthcare costs of asthma increased 6% from 2002-2007 and exceed $50 billion a year. That’s a whole lot of money spent on medical care, hospital stays, lost school and missed workdays.
10. There is no known cure.
While there are many ways to manage your asthma through treatment, there is no known cure to eradicate asthma completely. Asthma is a lifelong disease and asthma rates are rising.
