Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.
I keep this in mind every time I’m upset about standardized testing in schools, which I don’t believe in. This quote reminds me that one day my kids, with my help, will be able to put behind them a lot of what they learned by rote in school, and discover the world on their own.
