6. Forever… by Judy Blume
This book about teen sexuality was written during the sexual revolution of the ‘70s. Its frank language and portrayal of teen sexual activity means it’s frequently on the banned book list as well as lists of YA books for adults. It’s Blume at her best and a good read to boot.
