16. Switch to compact fluorescent lightbulbs.
Those funny curlycue bulbs cost more but, they’ll pay you back. One compact fluorescent bulb can reduce carbon emissions by 1,300 pounds during its lifetime. They also don’t use as much electricity as a regular bulb.
17. Carpool or take public transportation when possible.
Why do you have to take your car to work everyday? When possible, carpool or ride share, or take public transportation where available. You’ll help to reduce emissions and save gas money, too.
