Nail polish is a must during the holidays! But, which to use?
Since its UK debut in 2008, Illamasqua nail varnishes have taken the fashion and celebrity world by storm. Inspired by the dark and illicit glamour and decadence of Berlin’s 1920s club scene (think Cabaret), these colors are intense, theatrical, and chic. Perfect for the cover of darkness of winter and late night doings, these are emphatically Statement Varnishes.
Untold & Ruthless Festive Nail Duo (£20, or approximately $26; they’re all $14 individually) is a wickedly wonderful twinset of very naughty reds. Throb is a dark blood red with a glossy finish. Scarab is a browner red with a metallic finish that looks like satin and velvet melted together. If you prefer a purplier red, go with Vice, an almost-red, very deep magenta with a satin finish.
While nails are still wet, sprinkle them with Illamasqua’s amazing Pure Pigment in Beguile ($24), a very fine, shimmering, sheer, high-shine, metallic, white pearl pure-color powder you can also use to highlight brows, eyes, cheeks, and décolletage. Killer.
