Maybe I was too young to even know the exact curses that go along with these superstitions. But the fact is, while the origins of most superstitions can be traced to the Middle Ages and Ancient Rome, many of our Latino New Year’s superstitions are either slightly or a lot different from those in the U.S. Here are a few of my favorite variations:
