Dr. Russell began by examining my scalp and asked me, “Has any hairdresser ever asked you about lesions on your scalp?” I answered no. After finding nothing on my scalp, she continued to examine every inch of my body. Did I say every inch? Yes. Every inch. By that time, I had been asked to remove the rest of my clothing. The doctor then noted I had two other moles on the other side of my lower abdomen and asked if they irritated me. They did, so I agreed to have her burn them off when I came in for the biopsy surgery. The dermatologist also noted a small mole on one of my legs that interested her. I was given an appointment to come back so they could do the biopsy surgery on the original mole in question.
