4. Elizabeth Adeney (UK), 66 at time of son’s birth
Adeney’s earlier efforts to get pregnant were unsuccessful. Her desire for children was so strong it led to the end of her marriage. Eventually the 66 year old traveled to the Ukraine for IVF treatments after the laws in the UK refused IVF treatment to anyone over 50. Late term complications to the pregnancy resulted in a preterm Cesarean birth and a healthy child.
