Buy groceries to keep in your hotel room for breakfast, a picnic lunch or a romantic dinner. Most hotels will provide you with a mini-fridge and microwave for free if you ask.

If you eat your bigger meal at lunch and a lighter meal at dinner, you’ll save money and still enjoy delicious local food. For dinner, consider splitting a meal, to keep costs down.
