Long on plot, but managing to create likeable characters with realistically mixed motives, Border Town feels like a sure winner for the middle to high school set. With two books in the series already available (Quince Clash, and Falling Too Fast), and more to come, as well as Spanish language editions, this series carries the potential of being the next hot teen read. Mother/daughter fare? Well…it’s sure to be a conversation starter! Even more mature readers will not be bored.
