ROMANCE? Well now I’m kidding—a little—but being bilingual has even helped me on the romantic front! My partner is bilingual English/Spanish, and we speak to one another in a mix of both, choosing whichever language can best express what we want to say. It’s something that drew us to one another at the outset, and it helped us bond as our relationship grew more serious. So, if and when my girls are ready to date or even find their life partners, they’ll have a lot more options from which to choose!
