OVERCOMMITMENT
The U.S. has turned into the society of overachievers. Downtime is considered wasted time because concrete results are not being measured and money is not at the end of the equation. That paradigm is being passed on to our children, who see not only their parents spending more time than ever at their jobs, but that also impose that modus operandi onto them. Also, parents have fallen in the trap of believing that, if they saturate their children with extra classes and training, their kids will become the next Tiger Woods or Tyra Banks.
