16. Consider Volunteer Travel Opportunities
Volunteer travel gives you the opportunity to try something totally new. You can work on an organic farm, build wells or rescue sea turtles. You’ll be doing the world some good, seeing a new place and meeting other people who care about helping others.

If possible, pack everything in a carry-on. Bring interchangeable pieces and take advantage of the hotel’s laundry. It’s easier and cheaper than dragging around a big bulky suitcase.
