Vista House is a comfort station, built in 1917 and located high above the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge. It is just under 25 miles from downtown Portland. They have an amazing view of the sun as it sets over the expansive river below.
8. Joseph Wood Hill Park • Portland, OR
You take a steep drive (or bike ride if you’re adventurous) up to Joseph Wood Hill Park and you’ll be able to view Vancouver, Portland and Camas all at the same time. Rocky Butte offers a stunning 360-degree view as well as plenty of parking and lots of space to accommodate small and larger parties.
