2. It’s not highly contagious.
The good news? It’s not airborne. While Ebola is highly infectious (it only takes a tiny bit of exposure to contract the illness), it isn’t high contagious (it’s not that easy to be exposed). Transmission is believed to occur through direct contact with blood or bodily fluids of infected people or animals. These include saliva, urine, feces and semen. The virus can also be spread through dirty needles or other objects that may be contaminated with fluids from a sick person.
