5. Latinos Have the Voting Power to Make Big Changes
Latinos United also points out that, “Hispanics now total 53 million and make up 10% of the U.S. electorate. Latino population and voting power — projected to outpace all U.S. communities over the next twenty years — will only continue to grow.” The U.S. Department of Education also states, “Hispanics are the largest and fastest‐growing minority group, and will represent 60 percent of our nation’s population growth between 2005 and 2050.” Use that power to help all immigrants.
