Artemis 2 is a big deal. It’s the first crewed mission of NASA’s Artemis program, sending four astronauts on a flyby of the Moon (they’ll loop around but won’t land). Think of it as a test drive for the ultimate road trip—only the road is 384,400 kilometers long.
The mission uses the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion capsule. It’s scheduled to launch no earlier than November 2026, but space schedules are as reliable as UK weather forecasts, so we’ll see.
