8. Charity Fights Off Attacker Who Nearly Rapes Her
Charity, then 22 years old, was listening to music on a park bench near her Houston home. She was hit on the head from behind, pulled off the bench and onto the nearby grass. Her attacker managed to partially undress her, and then started unbuckling his pants. But her military training took over, as she kicked him repeatedly and ran away. Police believed Charity was not the first victim of this attacker.
