He started modeling and acting after high school, was cast in a couple of reality shows on Telemundo. Response from the estrogen set was so intense that a star was born. He moved on to telenovelas, and pretty much every one he was in became a huge hit. Televisa claims that the novella Cuidado con el Angel had as many as 45 million viewers per night around the world. The novela Sortilegio, which aired on Univision, soared to the top in the U.S., with 6.6 million viewers in prime time, beating out ABC and CBS in that time slot. Not too shabby.
