1. What are Night Shade Vegetables?
Nightshades are a group of herbs, shrubs, foods and trees. Actually, “Nightshade” is simply an umbrella term used to describe over 2800 species of plants all of which belong to the scientific order Polemoniales, and the scientific family Solanaceae. They include but are not limited to:

  • Eggplant
  • Tomato
  • Sweet Peppers and Hot Peppers
  • Potatoes
  • Tomatillos
  • Pimentos (Pimientos)
  • Habanero Paprika
  • Thai Peppers
