10. Racist Sentiments
Same goes for racist sentiments. A soccer fan who posted racist comments on Twitter directed at a Newcastle’s Demba Ba’s appearance and the number of black players in the club was sentenced to a four month jail term. Put an athletic sock in it.
11. Libelous Remarks
Like in a newspaper, anything posted on Twitter that indict someone’s character, that you cannot prove, are also subject to jail time. Twitter is public record and is being archived by the Library of Congress.
