7. It Can Help with Weight Loss
A study at Tufts University shows that Turmeric extract may help suppress the growth of fat tissue, resulting in weight reduction. While current studies are only being conducted on mice, and we don’t know if the same results can be duplicated in humans, the findings are promising and show that “curcumin appeared to be responsible for total lower body fat in the group that received supplementation.” Again, there is no promise that Turmeric will make you skinny, but it can’t hurt to add a dash to your diet just in case it actually does work. After all, it’s good for you in so many other ways, what do you have to lose?
