10. Use them to remove nail polish.
You’ll never have to buy cotton balls to remove nail polish again. A folded piece of stocking dipped in your polish remover will do the trick just as easily.
11. Test sanded surfaces to see if you missed a spot.
Sanding provides a smooth surface for applying stain or paint. Pass hose across the surface: if there’s a rough spot, the hose will snag. The hose will also trap small dust particles that marr finished surfaces.
