Arguably the most important aspect of any great photo, lighting is a key component to making your card beautiful. Natural light is best, so try taking photos outside this year. You want to shoot on a bright day, but work with indirect sunlight to avoid shadows. If you must take photos indoors, try for something informal and fun. Capture your family jumping on the bed, cooking in the kitchen or playing with your kids, instead of sitting cross-legged on the couch or in front of the Christmas tree.
