10. The Midsummer moon is called the Honey Moon.
The Honey Moon refers to mead made from fermented honey that was used in wedding ceremonies performed on the summer solstice. The Druids celebrated the day as the “wedding of heaven and earth” and a child born on the summer solstice was thought to be particularly blessed. A couple marrying on the solstice was said to have a long lasting, fertile marriage. We still honor the Druids by making June the most popular month for weddings.
