There must be something about Chicago that produces smart, successful women. Michelle Obama attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School. She met her husband while practicing law and is known as an active participant in his campaigns, even addressing the Democratic Convention. As First Lady, she earns no salary, but is dedicated to nutrition education and healthy eating, particularly among children. With that law degree waiting in a drawer somewhere, Obama’s biggest earning years are ahead as she hits the tour circuit after the end of her husband’s term or accepts a leadership position with a private firm. Good timing too, as both the Obama children start college soon. She’ll be able to help with tuition costs! Moral here, remember to never let your husband’s success overshadow your own.
