8. When you say no to something that you know is bad for you.
Maybe your roommate wants to throw a party the night before a big meeting, or your boyfriend wants to order another round of drinks when you know you’ve all hit your limit. It’s Okay to say no, especially if you’re turning down something that is going to be bad for you. Never apologize for looking out for your own best interests.

9. When you express your needs.
If your needs, or the steps it will take to accomplish your needs, will hurt others then you might have something to apologize for. But as long as that’s not the case, then expressing what you want will never be a reason to apologize. Speak up and don’t feel bad about it.
