Santiago is an extremely stubborn petite French bulldog. When his young owner asks him to go for a walk, Santiago refuses to move from his spot. Even when he is offered various incentives, such as a toy, or his favorite foods, Santiago will not budge from his place on the carpet. Finally, the boy becomes so frustrated with his dog that he yells at the top of his lungs for Santiago to move. This sets off a chain of events that is sure to get even the most stubborn bulldog up and running!

The illustrations of this short, simple tale of a boy and his dog are unadorned and brightly colored, giving life to the few characters in the book. A happy ending also comes with a surprise. A good read for younger children, especially those who have pets at home.
