OM meditation, or Orgasmic Meditation, has been around for a while but it’s gaining converts since Nicole Daedone’s 2011 TED Talk. Daedone is the author of Slow Sex: The Art and Craft of Female Orgasm and founder of One Taste, the San Francisco home-base of OM meditation. In a nutshell, Orgasmic Meditation is a 15-minute targeted clit massage. In a group setting, “nests” are set up around the room, the woman undresses from the waist down and her partner, usually a man and possibly a stranger (chosen by the woman), does the stroking. As Daedone says, “OM is a source of power — a well from which to draw energy. It’s profound, yet simple and you can have it whether you are single or coupled.”

If the idea of getting that up-close and personal with a room of strangers is a bit daunting, you can opt for a private session or watch a tutorial from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Though most devotees would say shedding your inhibitions and participating in the group experience is key. Yes, it’s called Orgasmic Meditation but it’s not a goal-oriented practice; the emphasis is on being in the moment and paying attention to your physical sensations. It’s a uniquely no-pressure situation for women to discover what feels good without having to perform in any way.

2. Get Your Partner in Touch with Your Body
